During the first vacation with my husband Murray
in 2004, to the mountainous, remote area of Marea
Del Portilla, Province of Granma, in Cuba, I worked
on a Cuban friend with the healthcare technique I
offer in Canada. She was experiencing pain in her
stomach. The pain resolved immediately. I was amazed.
I offered help to other Cubans and found they too
resolved quickly with only a few NMT sessions. Our
Spiritual Guidance led us back to the same area for
a three-month stay in November 2005 to February 2006,
and a second stay from November 2006 to February 2007.
The people this area needed some good news as they
suffered the devastation of Hurricane Dennis. Dennis
wrecked many of the homes in this area. To our sorrow,
we found that the hurricane left our “adopted”
Cuban family without a roof for two months. 97% of
homes were destroyed but due to the excellent disaster
preparation the loss of life was minimal.
My teacher was correct. It is very possible to modulate
the control system of the body without the conscious
mind’s comprehension. Many Cuban people spoke
no English, and had only a very brief explanation
of NMT.
Since this very successful beginning in 2004, I have
helped more than 100 people with NMT. There
has been only a few minimal responses to NMT, and
mainly only the most astounding recoveries I have
ever seen. I’ll share a few of the more challenging
cases with you.
In December, 2005, I met Baby Onay in the nearby
village of Mota. Onay is one year old, and a surviving
twin. He suffered spinal damage when his dead twin
sister lay on him in the womb for thirty days. When
we first met him, he could not walk or sit, his neck
was very weak, he was rigid when standing, unable
to flex his legs, suffered crossed eyes and seizures
similar to epilepsy, infections and seemed very depressed.
After the first session, his aunt (daycare provider)
noted positive changes. I did warn her to take care,
as Onay could become stronger and surprise her, leading
to a possible fall. And change he did, trying to sit
up and starting to flex his legs the same day! After
seven sessions, he was flexing his legs, holding up
his head, talking up a storm, smiling, laughing and
suffering his seizures rarely. Onay’s grief
and emotional suffering was resolved.

I was thrilled to see this young fellow again in
2006. Onay held his improvements and was ready to
continue to work with me. I thought he may have backslide
after the birth of his little brother, but Onay proved
me wrong! He was better than I left him, now enjoying
freedom from infection and still smiling and talking
more and more. His aunt “mother” told
us he longing to be able to run with the other boys.
Onay was trying hard to walk, but the tendons in his
legs caused his feet to point out too far, and he
stood mainly on tiptoe. I found he still had pain
in his spine and needed repair for normal walking.
When I left him in 2007, he was pain free and the
repair was on going.
I heard about Leandio, another family member, from
Yordani, but not until he was moved from the nearby
town of Pilon to Manizillo, about 83 KM from here.
Might as well be on the other end of the world, as
travel in this area is very difficult or really expensive.
Leandio was suddenly struck with loss of speech, then
facial paralysis, and as his illness progressed, with
paralysis on the right side. The doctors were unable
to determine if he had suffered from a tumor or a
clot. They did know that surgery for this growth,
about 4cm large, could very well result in insanity
and decided it was not worth the risk.
 |
When I heard Leandio had stopped eating and the doctors
were planning to send him to Havana for risky surgery,
and to his mother’s home for palliative
care, I knew I had to act. I began treating long distance
with Yordani (his cousin) as the surrogate. I heard
the next day Leandio was starting to feel better,
and feeding on liquids again. We visited his father
in nearby town of Marea Del Portilla, and explained
NMT to him. His father was determined to bring him
near to us.
New Year’s Day found us face to face with a
very charming young man with a really lopsided smile
(half his face was paralyzed). We visited and preformed
NMT sessions with him every day, and he made an amazing
recovery. After the second session, we returned to
find him sitting up. His brother was asked by his
mother to help Leandio put on his pants in the morning,
and found Leandio had already done so, all on his
own! Feeling is returning to his hand and foot and
he now able to walk, dragging his leg. He is eating
hearty meals. I have very high hopes for a full recovery.
He was moved to the hospital in Pilon to begin his
rehabilitation exercises.
When I found out that he was one of the young men
that raced the houses at our hotel, I was very impressed.
These young men ride like thunder as quickly as they
can toward a very small ring, and must insert a small
feathered dart into the ring. I understand he was
very good, too. I asked that he visualize himself
daily returning to this sport, and to NEVER doubt
that he could do it.
Leandio was excited to see me when we returned in
Dec, 2006. He had gained weight while living at his
mother’s home. His formerly paralyzed limbs
were strong and useful, but the strength in his hand
was weak. He was still not talking a lot, just a few
words. He was riding again. I cautioned him on over
eating and we started to work in his speech. What
a wonderful recovery! He has his life ahead of him
now, thanks to NMT. When I return, we will continue
to work on speech and mobility.
The demand was growing for the sessions of NMT that
I offered and I began to offer group sessions in the
village in January, 2006. The groups were a success!
The people had fast results, similar to the individual
sessions. One woman in her seventies had such resolution
of the pain of arthritis that she did not find the
need to return after just one session, and was still
feeling well in December, 2006. A handsome young fellow
with a tumor growing on the outside of his head had
good resolution in two sessions. These groups in Cuba
lead to the development of group NMT here in North
America.

With support from caring people in North America,
we will be enabled to continue to bring NMT to Cuba.
The desired result of our hard work will be to train
doctors and other health care practitioners in Cuba
to perform NMT. Due to the strength and excellent
educational system in this small but powerful country,
Cuba is in the position to send doctors worldwide.
Cuba currently trades doctors for commodities in many
countries, such as Argentina, Venezuela, Peru, the
Caribbean and other countries.
In January, 2007 the project was halted by officials
in Cuba due to the lack of the proper visa to do the
work. This occurred, despite assurances received in
Canada over the years from the Cuban Consulate and
other important authorities on Cuba, that all
was well.
OMI has lent its strength and focus to this project
in Cuba. Although this is a complex assignment and
there have been difficulties, OMI has kept to the
commitment and continues to be supportive and helpful.
OMI has not given up when the going got rough!
This is a tough challenge, but the rewards will be
astounding. Cuba currently sends doctors far and wide
into countries of great need in the Caribbean and
Latin America. Imagine the healing that could take
place when these doctors are trained in NMT. This
vision of health and well being defies description!
I believe that the clearing of blocks preformed by
OMI, new avenues are beginning to open and the return
to Cuba seems imminent. Stay tune to this site for
further developments. If you would like to make
