Wallace Wattles / What do you want out of life?
How does a life filled with all the things you could possibly want—wealth, mindfulness, and good health—sound to you? Of course, you want it. We all want it. The question, however, is how does one attain such things? How can you explore, and eventually manifest a life bursting with happiness, success, and freedom? Let us show you how, but first, you have to acquaint yourself with the life and works of a man named Wallace Wattles.

Who is Wallace Wattles?

Wallace Wattles was an American New Thought author born in 1860. His father was a gardener, and his mother was a housewife. The family lived on a farm in Nunda Township of McHenry County, Illinois where the young Wallace worked as a farm laborer.

His humble beginnings notwithstanding, Wallace Wattles had ambition. He dreamt of a better life, and this he achieved through writing. He proved to be a very prolific writer in his lifetime. His best-known work is a book called The Science of Getting Rich, which was published in 1910. As the title suggests, the book offered tips on how to get wealthy.

The other books with similar New Thought perspective that Wallace authored were The Science of Being Well (1910) and his personal self-help book The Science of Being Great (1911).

Wallace Wattles / How do you see yourself?

His daughter Florence had this to say about Wallace Wattles: “He wrote almost constantly. It was then that he formed his mental picture. He saw himself as a successful writer, a personality of power, an advancing man, and he began to work toward the realization of this vision. He lived every page ... His life was truly the powerful life."

Wallace died quite young at the age of 51, but he was able to enjoy financial success and good health during his lifetime. More than that, his real legacy were the writings he left behind, and much of the success and self-development literature that has sprouted over the years was influenced by his gems of wisdom.

Wallace Wattles / Thoughts are the Seeds of Reality

Getting rich is no accident nor is it due to talent alone. Like love and good health, we attract money as a result of thinking and doing things in a certain way. This is further explained by the cosmic law of attraction, or manifesting events that we had first conceived in using the hidden powers of the mind. By sending out certain thoughts into the universe, we invite similar energies to come to our lives.

Wattles discussed this potent power of the mind to manifest the kind of reality we want in The Science of Getting Rich. He presented his ideas in a practical and mathematical manner, putting forward the concept of getting rich as a simple equation. When religiously followed, the steps taken will guarantee wealth.

Actually, if we question the power our thoughts have on creating what we want, we can simply look around us and realize that everything started out with a thought. A thought first formed on the mind of the artist who produced the masterpiece hanging on the wall. The architect who designed your house and the carpenter who built it first “saw” the house in their minds.

Wallace Wattles / Rich Advice

How exactly do you go about applying the lessons which Wallace Wattles lived and revealed to the world?

The Science of Getting Rich offers the following advice:

Determine what you want and visualize it actually happening to you. According to Wallace Wattles, by zeroing in on what you want in life and sincerely and earnestly directing you thoughts to this goal and asking the universe for it, you can make it become a reality.

Focus on this goal and claim it as yours. Block all negative thoughts from your mind (do the best you can), which can hinder you from getting what you want. Have faith that what you have sent out to the cosmos has been heard and whatever you long for is already on its way to you.

Be grateful for everything that you have. By expressing your gratitude to the universe, you raise your vibration and this connects you to your Higher Self and unleashes your unlimited power. Being grateful prevents you from becoming sad, frustrated, and envious of other people’s success.

Wallace Wattles / What is Success

Wallace Wattles said, "If a person can communicate his thought to original thinking substance, he can cause the creation or formation of the thing he thinks about."

Realize that we are not only talking here about financial success. Whether you’re dreaming of financial freedom or meeting your life partner, or having a life that is free from sickness and worry, the lessons Wallace Wattles discussed in his book will help you achieve whatever your heart desires.

Wallace Wattles / Change is Good

The secrets to the laws and principles of the universe that Wallace Wattles revealed in his life-changing book were what led Rhonda Byrne to write the book “The Secret” and produce the movie of the same title. She credits The Science of Getting Rich for changing the way she viewed life, and she vowed to share the lessons she learned to the world. She knew that this change would require a significant amount of focused action, but she was ready for the challenge.

"Something inside of me had me turn the pages one by one, and I can still remember my tears hitting the pages as I was reading it. It gave me a glimpse of The Secret and it was like a flame inside of my heart," said Rhonda.

Rhonda is just one of the millions of people whose lives were touched by the 20th century sage named Wallace Wattles. People from all walks of life are becoming aware that there is more to life than the physical senses can realize. That is why it is exciting to know that there are people and businesses, (like Thom Rogers and OMI) in the world today that take advantage of being able to access the quantum field, the field of infinite possibilities.
