Why Change is Good / No Time Like the Present
The start of any new season brings with it a need to start something new and make some meaningful changes in my life. It's happens when I am present and aware that the world in which I live is giving me messages. And even though those messages come through stronger at certains times (like when thesnow melts on the ground and the grass and dirt are unearthed), I know on a deep level, messages on the outside are being given on a moment-to-moment basis to all who care to take notice.
And so I know that when a sweet breeze hits me in way that is unexpected, the Universe is trying to tell me something. The "what" may take a little inner contemplation to discover. And although, the clues can be subtle, I understand that it is up to me to explore.
What is change and is it really necessary?
If you were to ask a group of people, “Would like your life to be simple or to be complicated?”, most people would probably choose “simple.” If I were given those two choices I would opt for simplicity every time. But luckily we always have more than those two choices in life.
The truth is when we choose something ‘simple’ like a different route to work, we are opening up the playing field for all kinds of new and interesting choices to come into our lives. Is this type of change necessary for our survival? No, absolutely not. But if you are interested in finding out what lies beyond the norm and the mundane (to a new level of success), then it is imperative to become open to this kind of change.
Why Change is Good / How to Balance Your Life
Most people have to work to support themselves. We all have responsibilities and many of us have busy schedules. Implementing life-affirming change does not involve disrupting those responsibilities. Healthy change, when balanced in your day-to-day life, enhances the life you have created for yourself, and it opens the door to enhance routines in your life.
When we allow change to be integrated into our life through a clear awareness, we are able to see first-hand if it will bring us to a better place, or put you in a direction that doesn't feel right. Restoring balance to your life is an art, but because we all desire to feel good and aspire to 'be better,' balance is a goal worth achieving. In this way the change is gradual and, in the end, appreciated.
Why Change is Good / 4 Keys to Manifesting
If the idea of changing a few things in your life appeals to you, but you are not sure where to begin, consider the following the tips:
1. Accept self-responsibility. If you are currently not satisfied with your life, understand it was because of a series of choices that you are where you are. But, don’t beat yourself up about it. Begin to make different choices. And before you know it, your outer life will reflect a life that makes more sense and one that is more fulfilling.
2. Don’t assume anything. Do you think you know what your spouse or your co-worker is thinking? Well, you may, but chances are you don’t. The best way to find out what people are thinking is to be proactive. This same philosophy works for assessing a particular situation. Approach with consideration and uncover the truth by expressing concern. Lead with compassion and kindness and you may be surprised at what you find.
3. Practice focusing on others rather than yourself. When we obsess about what we aren’t getting or how we were treated unfairly or why bad things always happed to us, we are simply setting the wheels in motion for more unpleasantness to come to us. So instead of going to the thought, “Why me?” Try thinking, “I am so grateful to have a spouse and 2 loving dogs to come home to every night.” The feelings that come up when this thought is expressed in a genuine way are powerful and contagious. Try it, and you will see what I mean.
4. Just say no. Just because you may be focusing on others, that does not mean that you should always give your time and attention to everyone you come into contact with. Just as some chemicals can be toxic, so can some people. Choose your friends and acquaintances with careful consideration. After a conversation, do you feel drained or invigorated? Follow your gut and use your good common sense.
Why Change is Good / Be The Change
No matter where we live or whomever we come into contact with, there is one constant-we are there. Does this sound obvious? Well, I point it out because it is the real key to why change is good. When you change things about yourself that you do not like and would like to improve you will automatically attract more pleasing situations and people into your life.
